# Elite Zone

These docs are written for **three kinds of people**. Pick the one that matches what you want to make. Each guide tells you exactly which other pages you need, so you never have to read everything.

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><h3><i class="fa-sliders">:sliders:</i></h3></td><td><strong>Config maker</strong></td><td>No code needed. Build configs and presets, and learn what every ragebot setting really does.</td><td><a href="/elite-zone/config-makers.md">Config makers</a></td></tr><tr><td><h3><i class="fa-crosshairs">:crosshairs:</i></h3></td><td><strong>Ragebot planner Lua</strong></td><td>Write the brain of the ragebot: detect what the enemy runs, switch presets, add your own strafes and shooting methods.</td><td><a href="/elite-zone/ragebot-planner-luas.md">Ragebot planner Luas</a></td></tr><tr><td><h3><i class="fa-puzzle-piece">:puzzle-piece:</i></h3></td><td><strong>Misc Lua</strong></td><td>Everything else: see and override who aimbot, flickbot, silent aim and triggerbot target, read the game, and reshape the menu.</td><td><a href="/elite-zone/misc-luas.md">Misc Luas</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

## Writing a Lua? Start with the basics

Ragebot planner Luas and misc Luas share the same foundation. Read these once, whichever one you make:

* [Quickstart](/elite-zone/getting-started/quickstart.md): register, load, and see your first Lua run.
* [Lifecycle & slots](/elite-zone/getting-started/lifecycle-and-slots.md): what happens when a Lua loads, gets replaced or unloads, and what is cleaned up for you.
* [Lua handle](/elite-zone/api-reference/lua-handle.md): the object every Lua gets. Connections, tabs, settings boxes and hooks all hang off it.
* [api.ui](/elite-zone/api-reference/api.ui.md): find, change or rebuild anything in the menu.
* [api.game](/elite-zone/api-reference/api.game.md): players, weapons, deflects, round state.

{% hint style="success" %}
Don't want to write code yourself? Copy the [AI prompt](/elite-zone/ai-prompt.md) into any AI, add what you want at the end, and it writes the Lua for you.
{% endhint %}

## Which Lua type do I need?

| You want to... | Register as |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------- |
| change how the **ragebot** picks targets, moves, shoots or which preset it uses | `"ragebot planner"` |
| change **aimbot / flickbot / silent aim / triggerbot** targets, read the game, add menus | `"misc"` |
| do both from one script                                                                  | `"both"`            |

One ragebot planner and one misc Lua can run at the same time. Loading a new one of the same type replaces the old one.

## Words you'll see

| Word       | Means                                                                                         |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **config** | a saved copy of all your menu settings, plus any Luas you loaded from the menu |
| **preset** | a named set of ragebot settings inside a config, switchable with one click or from a Lua |
| **handle** | the `lua` object `api.register` gives you back                                                |
| **slot** | where a Lua sits: *Ragebot Planner* or *Misc Lua* |
| **hook** | a function you set on your handle that Elite Zone calls for you (every frame, or on an event) |
| **idx**    | a setting's internal name, like `ragebot_strafe`                                              |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://scripter-sm.gitbook.io/elite-zone/elite-zone.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
